We intend to offer a quality program and will encourage the teaching of classes that are both interesting and thought-provoking. Each participating parent is expected to teach one course per semester and assist in at least one other class. We encourage the creation of some representation of class work which will supplement home teaching and could be presented at the LEAP end-of-semester program. Classes which include outside homework, and/or additional purchases, will be noted on the web site.
The co-op will begin each semester with a Meet & Greet Event, on the Monday preceding the start of the eight-week fall/spring semester. The goal is to provide three simultaneous forty-five minute classes for first grade and above. Younger students will have age-appropriate educational and social opportunities. Please note the class size limit for each age group is ten students, unless otherwise specified by the teacher. Classes will be filled in the order registrations are received. LEAP members will receive email notification regarding online registration. Early registration is recommended!
