Join us for a playful music class filled with classic preschool songs like We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, I’m a Little Teapot, and If You’re Happy and You Know It. This class is a gentle, hands-on watercolor art class designed for young children. Students will explore basic watercolor techniques, color mixing, and creative expression in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Throughout the class, children will be reminded that they are created in God’s image and that creativity is a gift from Him (Genesis 1:27). Each week will include a simple, age-appropriate faith connection that points to God as our Creator while allowing students plenty of freedom to create and enjoy the process of art. The focus of this class is confidence, creativity, and having fun — not perfection.

Who Pooped in the Park? A Wild Adventure Through America’s National Parks

Class Description:
Join us for an exciting journey across the United States as we explore some of our most treasured National Parks! Students will get to know eight remarkable parks while investigating the scat and tracks of the animals that call each one home. Using the book Who Pooped in the Park? as our guide, we’ll uncover fun facts about wildlife and deepen our understanding of each park’s unique geography and topography. Along the way, students will see just how diverse the terrain, ecology, and wildlife are across the many landscapes of our beautiful country. Students will complete their own curated notebook highlighting every park we study, complete with an animal profile showcasing one creature from each park.

Welcome to the Foundations of social skills class. In this class, students will learn about the basic do’s and don’ts of social skills and etiquette. They will learn about the importance of communication and communicating with confidence. We will explore the significance of active listening skills and how it can improve one’s social skills. We will discuss how Jesus wants to be a part of our everyday lives when it comes to socializing, listening, and connecting with others. Lastly, they will be given lots of opportunities to talk, engage, and interact with other students in the classroom, to put the skills and tools they will be learning into practice.

This course will have some light homework in preparation for weekly class presentations. Topics for presentations will be given by the teacher weekly. Some biblical scriptures will be given and reviewed throughout the course, so students recognize that communication and socialization is a gift from God- meaning He is in the midst of it all. This is a very interactive class with lots of talking with classmates and some group activities during class.

We will explore the fundamental properties of matter and the nature of energy, their interactions, and the laws governing their conservation and transformation. We will conduct hands-on activities/ experiments along with teacher demos.

This is a more conceptual class where we will explore the how and why behind mathematical ideals/ relationships in physics and chemistry, math will still be used.

There will be some math involved when it comes to measuring, graphing and a limited introduction of simple formulas.

For example, when calculating density, we can frame it as “density being how much mass is in a specific space”, but it would be better if kids can understand the concept of division so that the formula density= mass/ volume can be used as a reinforcement.

In our class we will be learning: greetings, basic nouns (colors, numbers, family, school, food), simple verbs (ser/estar, tener, gustar), and basic sentence structure (I like…, My name is…, I have…). This will give a foundation for meaningful output, quickly.
Kids learn best when Spanish is not just from textbooks + worksheets, but also the use of flashcards, pictures, songs, videos, gestures, labeling the classroom in Spanish, and repeated exposure. Everyday objects reinforce vocabulary. Each week we will re-visit previously learned vocabulary/concepts through games, songs, and review; while adding small amounts of new material. This helps retention and builds confidence.
Even at a beginner level, exposing students to songs, simple stories, and cultural references (holidays, daily life, family, school, home) makes language learning richer and more meaningful.
We will have students speak, draw, act, write (simple sentences), label, and play games. Peer games and group work boost confidence, especially for young learners.

Every class, students will create a new piece of cartoon artwork. We will watch a Youtube video to draw a specific cartoon. This means we will do a draft in pencil first, then a final in marker. Finally, we will add unique, fun hand lettering to each piece to finish it. The students will get to vote on what cartoons they are interested in drawing. This is an art class where we will mostly use markers.

Did you know scientists estimate there are more than 8 million animal species on planet earth, but only around 1.5 million have been named, described, and cataloged? There is still so much to discover! How do scientists classify animals? Is everything in the ocean a fish? What makes a mammal different from a reptile?
In this class we will learn how scientists classify animals using the taxonomy system originally developed by Linnaeus. Each week a mystery animal will be revealed! We will explore the characteristics of a specific category (class) of animals and learn about one bizarre animal that you have probably never heard of.
